Serpent S411 Eryx 3.0

Serpent announce the soon release of the S411 Eryx 3.0 electric touring car kit. The latest incarnation of the S411 will feature a good amount of new parts such as a 2mm aluminium chassis, a redesigned LCG motor mount, hard composite plastics, dual joint front driveshafts and updated suspension blocks. The kit will hit the stores beginning of May.

New features
– 2mm coated and laser engraved 7075-T6 aluminium chassis
– Lighter lower bearing blocks front and rear
– Centrally mounted new type lower CG 7075-T6 motor mount
– Seperate bushings to support the top-plate front and rear, to influence flex as needed
– Lightweight aluminium spool with blades
– v2 type hard composite all around like wishbones, uprights, castor blocks, steering blocks
– v2 hard composite wishbones with one central hole for shock mounting
– Rear anti-roll bar mounted in front of rear arm
– v2 Double joint front driveshaft with clips
– Standard suspension mounts 3.5/0.5 split blocks in the rear, 2.0/0.5 in the front
– New material shock-O-rings
– Lightweight anodised aluminium camber links
– Lightweight anodised aluminium track rods
– Lighter composite anti-roll bar centering front and rear
– ERYX 3.0 set-up sheet

Serpent have released first images of their forthcoming S411 Eryx 3.0 touring car kit, courtesy of Marc Fischer. The pictures mainly show the new aluminium lower chassis plate that can be seen in prototype stages in the images – the production version will come hard-anodised and engraved. Shipping of the kits will start after the 6th of May with the 3.0 should be hitting the stores shortly after.
